Slot-Die Coating
Slot-die coating is a technique where the solution is directly coated onto the substrate through a coating "head". Solution flows through the head at a determined rate and the substrate is moved underneath it.
Slot-die coating is a metered coating process. This means that the wet film thickness is determined by the amount of solution placed onto the substrate. All other parameters work to improve the uniformity and stability of the coating.
